The philosophy of Custom Design is to question and challenge it's own ideas, which start with design and finish with attention to detail. With the creativity of our designer Flip we are proud to present the New Milan Range.
The Milan Compact Acoustic Furniture Range have been introduced as part of our philosphy to manufacture furniture which compliments the homes of our customers not dominates.
Our customers perceptions of Hi-Fi furniture are changing, design is becoming ever more important, contemporary more than accessory, even more important than performance in some cases. That is why the Milan Compact Acoustic Range have been designed as furniture first, then with the 26 years of experience and knowledge the details added to enhance the Milan Compact Range Acoustically to the highest standards without compromise.
The Acoustic design includes iRAPs ( Isolation Resonance Absorption Platforms ) for each individual shelf. The constrained layer dampening system combined with the solid hardwood supports eliminates natural frequencies occurring through the support. Resulting improvements focus on speed and accuracy, especially to the dynamic range and the stereo imaging, with a clarity and inky blackness to the bass.
The Milan Compact Furniture Range are manufactured from solid Oak, Walnut and Ash hardwoods, which are sourced from fully licenced, professionally managed forests. Thanks to techniques of sustained yield forest management more hardwoods have been grown in the past 30 years than have been harvested.
Custom Design's cardboard packaging are manufactured from at least 76% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable.
The modular design enables the addition of extra shelving as and when your Hi-Fi system matures and expands. The Clear or Black 6mm fully toughened glass shelves are 400mm (D) and have a discrete radius front edge providing another distinctive design feature.
All of the Milan Compact Range have standard spacings of 155mm with isolation spikes, a new 200mm shelf spacing are available as an optional extra. Standard finishes include White, Natural, Oak, Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut and Black, please visit our colour swatch page for more infotrmation.
