The Harbeth P3 402 wood Speaker Stands are a twin support design available with real solid hardwood support columns manufactured from solid real walnut, solid Oak or solid Ash Tinted white, Cherry, Mahogany, or Black finish.
Inert, Acoustic steel top plates provide an isolating-Resonance-Absorbing-Platform and manufactured from Custom Design’s world renowned Acoustic Steel. The unique Custom Design Isolation Resonance Absorbing Technology, Acoustic Steel, forms a constrained layer dampening system to provide the perfect speaker isolation platform. Designed to convert and dampen resonance energy vibration with unique viscoelastic, patent polymer properties, converting unwanted resonance energy to negligible heat which is simply dissipated. The Acoustic Steel converts the energy form.
The Harbeth P3 402 design includes as standard, a 4mm Inert Acoustic steel isolation top plate, 4mm CR4 Oiled and pickled steel base plate for a superior finish and when combined with zinc plated M8 fixing bolts provides complete, joint interface rigidity, as part of the Custom Design attention to detail philosophy. The solid hardwood support columns are manufactured from solid Ash, solid Oak or solid Walnut. They are harvested from sustainable, professionally managed forests. Finishes available include White, Oak, Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut and Black. The natural properties of wood can dampen resonance noise vibration, preventing the transition through the design and influencing the stand and speakers performance, without the requirement for mass loading the support column.
The Harbeth P3 402 wood speaker stands are manufacture by the craftsman at Custom Design. By combining the solid hardwood supports with 4mm Inert Acoustic Steel top plates and 4mm CR4 Oiled and Pickled steel base plates for a superior quality finish, to created a discrete, rigid speaker support stand with good initial Mass for a wood speaker stand. The CR4 steel Base plates are supplied as standard or the aesthetically pleasing 6mm Clear Glass base plinths manufactured to BS EN 12150-2 optional extra. The modern, contemporary Harbeth P3 402 wood speaker stands have true aesthetic appeal. When combined with Inert Acoustic Steel Top plates the reduction in resonance noise vibration is significant, resulting in an improved performance and sound quality. Custom Design do not use Aluminium in the construction of any speaker stand designs. The natural properties of aluminium prevent speaker stands from performing to the best of their ability as mechanical feedback can be prevented, just like over mass loading. Which will result in reducing the dynamic range and the depth of bass frequency.
Top Support 190 x 160mm Base Plate dimensions, precision laser cut CR4 Black steel 220 x 260 x 4mm with cable management slot and logo included.
Optional 220 x 260 x 6mm Clear Glass base BS EN 12105-2. M8 Black Zinc plated or Polished Zinc plated base isolation spikes supplied as standard with allen key adjustable facility.

Cable management slot and discrete logo precision laser cut into the CR4 steel base plate.
Standard height available 610mm (24") Custom Heights available only in the steel format. Standard finishes: White (solid Ash tinted), solid Oak, Cherry (solid Ash Tinted), Mahogany (solid Ash Tinted), solid Walnut or Black (solid Ash Tinted) in the solid hardwoods.
Solid Oak and Solid Walnut supports are finished with 3 layers of water based clear Lacquer
