The Leicester HiFi LH1 OM 44 Speaker Stand Range are a quadrifid design available in the 610mm high plus base isolation spike of 25mm (635mm) with ERW mild steel supports or solid hardwood support columns, purpose built for thin walled designed speaker cabinets.
The Leicester HiFi LH1 OM 44 speaker stand design includes a laser precision cut 4mm Inert Acoustic steel isolation top plate and a 6mm CR4 steel base plate. When combined with M8 black zinc plated, allen key adjustable base isolation spikes and the M8 zinc plated fixing bolts total joint rigidity is achieved. The hand finished, polished acoustic steel isolation top plates connect to ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel 50.8 x 50.8mm tubes, as standard for sound quality and as part of the Custom Design attention to detail philosophy.
The solid hardwood support columns are manufactured from real, solid Ash, Oak or Walnut. They are harvested from sustainable, professionally managed forests. Finishes available include White, Oak, Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut and Black. The natural properties of wood can dampen resonance noise vibration, preventing the transition through the design and influencing the stand and speakers performance, without the requirement for mass loading the support column.
By combining the ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel support columns or the solid hardwood supports with 4mm Inert Acoustic Steel top plates and 6mm CR4 steel base plates , Custom Design have created a totally rigid speaker stand support with an open frame design with a medium Mass. Mass loading the steel support columns with Inert Filler adds greatly to the final mass, with 1 bag of Inert Filler recommended per column, maximising the performance of your OM 44 Speaker support Stands. Inert Filler 1.7kg per bag, laser precision cut, 6mm CR4 Steel Base plates are supplied as standard When combined with Inert, Acoustic steel Isolation Top plates the reduction in resonance noise vibration is significant, resulting in an improved performance and sound quality. Custom Design sources all cardboard packaging from only PEFC or FSC certified companies. 76% of the cardboard packaging has been manufactured from recycled material which can be 100% recycled.
Custom Design do not use Aluminium in the construction of any speaker stand designs. The natural properties of aluminium prevent speaker stands from performing to the best of their ability as mechanical feedback can be prevented, just like over mass loading. Which will result in reducing the dynamic range and the depth of bass frequency.

Standard height available 610mm (24") Custom Heights available only in the steel format.
